Urgent! Hotel in St Germain?

With a budget of up to £100, can you recommend a hotel right in the hub of St Germain? I want something individual and "French" with character, but also with good service. It's for a romantic weekend.
Thanks!

I just booked at the Hotel des Saints-Peres for March - double room 165e without breakfast. You can find it at www.esprit-de-france.com. Do a search on this forum and you will also find many good reviews of the hotel. I've heard that for the price you get a much larger than the usual Paris hotel room. The location is great.

I have also stayed at the Hotel de L'Abbaye on rue Casette but this might be over your budget; however, it is romantic, individual and I enjoyed it for my 10th wedding anniversary.

I'd recommend the du Danube also..but I'd go for a superior room , at 155E. The standards are quite small. Check out the pictures on trip advisor.
Great location and I've always found the staff most pleasant and helpful.

Hi J,

The Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte is a very nice 28 with a lift and AC. Larger rooms about 157E dbl w/bkfst

Lots of charm in the Hotel du Lys, located in a bldg. that dates from the 17th century. 115e for double with breakfast included. Great location, 2 min. from both St. Michel and Odeon metro stations.'

I really liked the look of Hotel St Germain des Pres, but on Trip Adviser read of some bad experiences. I'm only there for a night, is it nice enough to take the risk?
