Urgent Help with 1 afternoon in London
Hi all-
I just got a call from the husband who has been asked to look into entertaining a client in London this Sunday afternoon. I am thinking of suggesting that they do a tour of the Tower of London and a tour of Westminster Abbey. Can anyone provide any specifics about how to go about this (official websites for tour times, suggestions, etc.). Thanks!! |
I don't think they can do both. In any event, Sunday at Westminster Abbey is reserved for services. So the Tower of London would be a good afternoon. He might be able to find a 2 for 1 deal (just search here).

Depending on his interests, the Cabinet War Rooms near Parliament is also fantastic. A real step back in time.

Easily found on Google.com -

I'm assuming this is a business client - and schlepping on a sightseeing tour of London, or going to the Tower of London on one of the busiest days of the year (the beginning of the Easter holidays) may not be the best ways to entertain him. And Westminster Abbey is out since it is Sunday - and Palm Sunday at that . . .
Maybe, if the weather is decent, a boat trip down to Greenwich, touring around the Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory and a nice Sunday lunch in Greenwich. Or a luncheon cruise on the river. Or a meal at the OXO Tower Brasserie with its views of the river and across to St Paul's. |
Oh puhleez! When business clients are to be "entertained" it does not mean to go sightsee. It means being taken for a good meal and then to Stringfellows.
