Urgent: hearing aide batteries in Rome?

Hello - my in-laws are currently in Rome and set to board a cruise tomorrow. My MIL is having trouble with her hearing aide - none of the batteries she packed are working. So far she is unable to find the correct kind of battery (number 10) anywhere in Rome. Please help! Anyone familiar with where she might be able to find them?? Thanks!

Perhaps in a pharmacy? May be difficult to find one open at this hour on a Sunday though...

Are all of the batteries she brought expired? If not, the problem may not be batteries but the hearing aids.

Are they staying in a hotel? They could ask the staff for assistance, but finding what she needs today (Sunday) may not be possible.

Has she inquired at a large farmacia or tracked down a local audiologist?

Perhaps she'll be able to buy the batteries aboard the ship.

When changing the batteries in my aids doesn't work I can change out the wax guard and that solves the problem. Although surely your mother-in-law has tried that.

Surely the hotel concierge can help her. Also, every pharmacy will have the phone number of the city's night duty pharmacy posted on the front door.

Thanks to everyone for the helpful input! Problem has been solved, thankfully. The concierge helped my MIL find an audiologist early this morning before leaving on the cruise. Funny enough, my FIL also had some issues - he lost his glasses and had to visit an optician to get new ones. Despite the bad luck and challenges, they had an amazing time in Italy and are now cruising on their way to Greece and Turkey!

Thanks again for the helpful responses!
