Anyone know what happens when you hold tickets on one airline who codeshares with one of the striking airlines. What if you have AirFrance tickets, but Delta is the one actually operating the flight. If Delta strikes, does AirFrance take care of you, put you on another flight? You paid your money to AirFrance, not to Delta so isn't AirFrance responsible for getting you there? And will they be able to do that?

I believe I read in one of the gazillion articles that they do try to accomodate you since you had bought your ticket with them. Just how they said that may try to help their passengers rebook on other flights. It's just so frustrating that there's not one concrete answer for any of this.

Hopefully they dont' do anything before tomorrow evening when my flight leaves and the 13th so I can get home without any problems.

isabel - Yes, Air France will take care of you. They may put them on their flight or corporate sister KLM; or Skyteam partners like CO, or even non-alliance airlines.

You may not get to your destination the same day, but they'll try to accomodate you.

I'm assuming julies is happily indulging in pain au chocolat by now.

Let's hope we all get so lucky. No news, in this case, appears to be good news.

And now we can turn our attention, at least for a moment, to Delta and its continuing saga of corporate problems. Our open-jaw tickets from Knoxville to Venice and Barcelona to Knoxville aren't for another 3 and a half months, but since they are for a not inexpensive cruise, I hope things get settled there too.

Speaking as someone with four (could add a fifth) trip(s) on NWA in the next several months, this is such good news, that it merits a new thread (or at least almost), in my view - - even if it is more about domestic travel, in my case, and not to/from Europe.

Hopefully the same regress-from-the-brink is in the cards for Delta...

Best wishes (especially to all those whose travel plans, to Europe, are able to go forward now)...
