I have selected some of the up and coming walking festivals in the UK which may be of some interest.

24th September to 20th October South Lincolnshire Walking Festival:

6th October to 9th October Dursley Walking Festival

Set in the Cotswolds.

7th October to 16th October CowalFest Argyll

7th October to 23rd October Manchester Literature Festival have a number of interesting walks with a literature theme including Gothic Walks, walks celebrating the many women writers associated with Manchester, and one which appeals to me involving a pub walk "Manchester Thinkers and Drinkers Pub Tour". The festival has a number of very interesting talks featuring the many writers from Northern England.
