Maybe the small Delacroix Museum. Interesting with a delightful little garden.

It is in the tourist area so maybe you've been there already.

I have never seen anyone mention the Mona Bismarck culturual center, We really enjoyed our visit there and the staff was so kind to us, They let is in before opening time so we wouldn't have to wait in the cold/
They has an exhobit on Mery Cassett on this spring they featue Americam artists to show the French .I'm sorry we missed the 3 generations of Wyeth exhibit. Checkto see if they have a special exhibit when you are there , Nice cafe inside too

I agree that The Marmottan is a nice change up, in a beautiful area that we really liked. We also enjoyed a beautiful walk through Bois de Boulogne that wasn't too far from The Marmottan.

if you are there in the spring/summer, there is a terrific garden in the Bois de Boulogne, called the Bagatelle. I remember tulips "floating" in a sea of forget-me-nots, and terrific roses. [not simultaneously!]

You all are remarkable...or is it that Paris is remarkable? So many suggestions, so little time. I've been to many of yours but not all and am compiling a list. Thanks for reminding me of the markets we haven't been to. And, never seen the Architecture museum, the Mona Bismark (though it sounds like I could stay in NY and MA and see what's there) or the Cognac-Jay. Where is that? NEver mind, i'll find it! Unfortunately, we're going in March so the weather's a toss-up (though last time we had a few glorious days despite the rain and clouds most of the time). We learned not to care much about the weather. Thank you so much for all your attention to this subject!

swbob - we were in Paris last March and though it wasn't exactly hot, we were able to eat at least one lunch outside, and sitting on boat on the cruise up the canal st, martin we got distinctly warm.

A couple of people asked about our specific interests; we love food, music, art, shopping, exploring, literature, sailing, gardening...so you see that we're generalists!
Thank you again.

Try the Clemenceau Museum on Rue Benjamin Franklin:
http://www.musee-clemenceau.fr/en/index.php

It is in the great man's apartment which has been left exactly as it was the day he died. My wife and I spent a couple of hours there on a rainy afternoon in June and were the only people there the whole time.

Have you been to the Viaduct des Artes and the shops under it? That was one of our discoveries one year--and of course now it is very well known. While in that neighborhood have a glass of wine in the lounge of Le Train Bleu and enjoy that space and its clientele.

We were in Paris in April & had pre-arranged a walking tour w Paris Greeters www.parisiendunjour.fr
As it turned out, my wife & I got a 4 hr walking tour of Ile de la Cite' that included the Palais de Justice where we sat in o 2 trials, several very unique churches not found on any tourist brochure, a police museum (interesting but...) & several other spots I'm sure no one else from outside the Cite' knows exists.
You fill out a short questionaire about your interests & they come back w/a possible itinerary (which you can refuse if it isn't what you want). Once you've settled on that, they request a 20-25E donation on PayPal. Best money we spent in Paris by far!
Consider it.

arjakay - it is possible to get into a trial [or two] simply by walking into the court building, but I agree that it's not the sort of thing that most people would do.

thanks for posting the link to Paris Greeters.
