Restaurant recommendation in Rome
Hello -
We are staying several nights at the Hotel Oceania on Via Firenze which is close to the Trevi Fountain. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on good and inexpensive local restaurants. Not looking for anything fancy..just good inexpensive food. Thank you!

There are so many (50? 100? more?) restaurants that match your criteria on the "Trevi-Pantheon-Navona axis" - - many of which have their menus publicly posted at the front door...
... that you can just stroll and pick from one of the many dozens.
But that said... you asked for a specific name, and I'd recommend "Il Volte" - - about 200 yards from the Pantheon (opposite direction from Albergo del Senato).
Best wishes,
Rex

Di Fronte A..
is the name of a restaurant at 38 via della Croce. Very good food, very reasonable prices, and a lot of Italian locals have a quick power lunch there, or dinner after work, or young folks out for an evening pop in for pizza after a movie or after having drinks somewhere. Portions are generous.

Walk 15 minutes from Trevi, across the Tiber into Trastevere. Gino's (85 Via della Lungaretta) is very good, not pricey...and so are a bunch of others in the vicinity. And Trastevere is so much fun in the evening, so alive & yet feels like an intimate neighborhood.

Yes, I do, about a 3 minute walk away from the Trevi, or Spanish steps, on Via Sant Andrea della Fratta (where all the Rome politicos hang out)
LA SCALINATA-excellent Roman hosteria, specializing in Roman cuisine, a chalk board full of house made specials every day, emphasis on fish, their antipasti excellent-they are full every night, closed on Sundays
