United Mobile Sim Card Questions

Ok I have a cingular Motorola v400g phone and I just asked C to unlock my phone. I then went to the united mobile webite, but I'm little confused about what I get with $49 sim card. It says:

United Mobile SIM card (incl. USD 20,00 initial call value, VAT)

Now is that $20 or 20 mins? Please help me cause I'm confused if I need to buy extra time or not.

Also does a new phone number come with the card or do I just use my old number?

You get a new phone number, it's a Lichtenstein number. You get $20 worth of calling time. Incoming calls are free. I used mine in Portugal and Scandinavia this summer for total of several hours of talk time, but almost all of it was calls my family made to me so I assume I still have a lot of dialing time left. The amount of time will depend on if you are calling somewhere else in Europe, or back to the US or whatever. The main thing I like about it is that it will still be good when I go back next March, and it's good in all countries. Before I got this card I bought a SIM wherever I was (one in Italy, one in England, etc). There were a few times in Portugal when apparently the phone or the card (don't know which was at fault) didn't work. In other words, several times my family said they tried to call and counldn't. But most of the time it worked great.

Thanks for the answer. Do you think that outside of united mobile that World Mobil would be a good choice? I have heard that they only deliver to the UK so I couldn't see if it worked before I left home. Once again thanks for the answer. I posted to the main Europe Forum this questions when I realized I couldn't edit this question or delete it.

Don't know World Mobil, if you're looking for a UK number with free incoming in most places, try www.globalsim.de It's great in Germany since it can be reached from 1.2ct/min from german phones. Unfortunately calls from the US cost more.
