United Fare to Paris $664 total March 2014 from Atlanta

Got a deal today on airfare to Paris. United has a sale on round trip $664 from Pensacola Florida. I got it for early March, 3 week trip. First time I have seen a fare this low in a long time. It is also the same price from Atlanta which is where I lived before. I booked direct with United. Got the alert from DealHound. Have not been on forum for few yrs but wanted to pass this along.

Delta also has a similar fare today.

I got a round trip from Portland, OR to Paris on United for $661 in November. I also got the notice through DealHound.

$703 SFO-CDG in March earlier this morning but I don't see it now. I have work obligations during that time so could not possibly get away. Rats.

Hmmm... I'm only getting $1016 ATL to CDG the first full week of March on Delta.

Yeah, I only see the cheapies on United. I just checked for my cousin, SMF-CDG March 17- April 3 and came up with $658. I can't get the time off anyway and prefer direct flights, but my cousin is a decade younger than I am and more fancy free. She and I went to paris together last holiday season, her first trip to Europe. She loved it!

I booked RT from DTW on United for Thanksgiving to Dec 4th....670 RT...unbelievable cost. I also found a deal on hotel, so 5 nights in Paris will cost me (lodging/af only) less than 1000.00. Unbeatable these days!

nwtraveler: had to be a dummie but when I went to dealhound it just came up with a bunch of links to other sites. Can you help? Thanks.

I'm in Pensacola, too, and had no plans for a trip then, but when seeing a fare like that, I had to check. Appears it is gone. Had me excited for a minute. Would have been nice.

There are probably not many seats to be had in the first place, so anything that cheap will be limited and will not last. Total fares at the sub $700 level probably are an effort by airlines to fill a few open seats in an otherwise slow season.

My guess is that $650 represents little more than taxes and maybe a seat allocation for jet fuel.

Hi Jan
The email alert came through DealHound, but it directed me to the United site. I just looked and most of the fares I see are around $1000.
