Unexpected excitement in Bath
|
The same thing happened pretty frequently when I lived in the UK. I can't imagine the tons of stuff that still might hidden under various cities.
(Chartley started another thread about this a couple of days ago.) http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...bath-today.cfm |
Ah, I did do a check before I posted, but didn't look far enough down.
You never know what is down there until someone starts digging. |

are you talking about Bath or Fodors, thursdaysd? |
@ann - LOL!
There's definitely some interesting stuff in both places, but other things as well. |
Does anyone remember a British TV program called UXB? It was about a team that worked on removing bombs like this.
It was probably in the 80's. |
May have been even older! I vaguely remember it, and I left England in 1975.
|
I think it was called 'Danger UXB'. PBS showed it in the States ( I think on Masterpiece Theater) in the early 80's.
|
i vaguely remember that too, but i don't think I watched it much. I'd like to say that I was too young, but I fear that was not the case.
