Underware

OK...Travelsmith had $5 underware...which seemed ridiculous to me! Well, I found microfiber (for travel) underware at Walmart! It washes and dries GREAT! Its way less than $5 for 3 pairs! Target doesn't have it! Happy travels!

Amazing commodity -- some sort of pot or pan that can wash and dry things? I must visit WalMart.

Ellen: please: UnderWEAR (something you wear) not underware (something sold or crafted, often out of pottery or metal, like dinnerware, silverware).

And no inanimate object can wash and dry anything.

As for using "great" as an adverb -- well, that's clearly too advanced for you.

But delighted to learn that WalMart can undersell (sic) Travelsmith. Travelsmith richly deserves to be undersold, on any kind of "ware."

Gosh, please I hope you meant "underwear". I think "underware" will be most uncomfortable.

underwhat Jun 29th, 2002 08:22 PM

I sure hope you meant underwear. Or is the latest fashion statement wearing pots and pans beneath ones clothing (I hope the are black)

xxx Jun 29th, 2002 08:23 PM

Underware in black is acceptable only in Paris and Italy, correct?

Huh Jun 29th, 2002 08:23 PM

can you get underware at Victoria's Secret too? Or in the houseware department at K-Mart?

Black Jun 29th, 2002 08:27 PM

I think black is acceptable everywhere in Europe - as long as it is worn with white sneakers.

xxx Jun 29th, 2002 08:28 PM

I guess you can find underware at Victoria's Secret (maybe that was Victoria's secret?).

xxx Jun 29th, 2002 08:30 PM

Oh, yes, you're right, I forgot that black is acceptable everywhere in Europe because it's considered stylish. Thanks for the reminder!

Love it Jun 29th, 2002 08:31 PM

That's a good one .. underware was Victoria's secret ha ha ha . I must look for some at the mall next visit.

xxx Jun 29th, 2002 08:34 PM

Well, you better hurry and get to the mall early in the a.m. tomorrow. You know the underware is pretty reasonably priced and well they may run out of stock.

Gogogellen was trying to give us a shopping idea. Glad you had your little laugh for the night. Hope you are all feeling like the very literate and classy snobs that I'm sure you are!

Thanks, Gogoellen!

Underwhere?

gogoellen Jun 30th, 2002 06:31 AM

I'm the world's worst speller...sorry. However, I do hope the info helps anyone buying special "travel" clothes.

CAgal Jun 30th, 2002 06:51 AM

Gogo, you may be the world's worst speller, but you are a GOOD sport. Enjoy your new underware, underwhere, underwear--whatever. :-)

Linda Jun 30th, 2002 09:25 AM

gogoellen,
You sure are a good sport-never mind the spelling, we all figured out what you were saying, but I think people just wanted to have a little fun with the underware/underwear thing. At least nothing here was mean/nasty as some of the threads get.
