Jean, Thanks for sharing you wonderful photos.

cocofromdijon Jan 15th, 2006 11:00 AM

Is there another way to see them without having to sign up?

Underhill Jan 15th, 2006 11:07 AM

Not that I know of, coco--too bad.

cigalechanta Jan 15th, 2006 11:07 AM

coco, I sent you the url. let me know if it worked :)

Underhill Jan 15th, 2006 11:08 AM

The "mystery shots" are of two of the locks the ship went through, out of the 22 total. If you squint the right way you can see that what's shown is the small distance between the side of the ship and the wall of the lock. Scary!

mimi I didn't get your email at all :-(
try a pm on LP (get it?)

Hi Underhill,
I would really like to read your trip report but I can't find it anywhere. Do you know what happened to it?
We're looking into an independent trip to the Danube and Vienna and the first thing I thought of was your report!

grandmere Feb 7th, 2006 08:31 AM

The photos are no longer available on Snapfish; I'm sorry I missed them first time around. Any way to post them again?

cocofromdijon Feb 7th, 2006 09:16 AM

I also missed them!
mimi, you didn't send me the link![-(

Underhill Feb 7th, 2006 12:30 PM

The Danube cruise report is under " Underhill's Danube Cruise Trip Report." If you can't find it, send me a message at

[email protected]

and I'll send you the Word document.

As for the photos...darn! I'll check into it.

I was able just now to pull up the photos on the Snapfish site; here's the URL:

Hi Underhill,
I just sent you an email about getting a copy of your report. Still cannot find it on Fodors, strange...

cocofromdijon Feb 7th, 2006 12:47 PM

The link works well (you have to copy and paste the rest of the address though)but you still have to give a password...

Underhill Feb 9th, 2006 10:25 AM

Yes, you would, grandmére--it's really a very, very nice trip.

TexasAggie Feb 9th, 2006 10:57 AM

Hi Jean,
Thank you so much for emailing me your trip report. It sounds like you had a lovely time :-)
My husband and I are 32 and 26 respectively. We have no interest in nightclubs, bars, etc., rather in history and art and culture. Do you think a GCT cruise would be a good fit for us?

Underhill Feb 9th, 2006 11:04 AM

Sure; there were a number of people your age on my cruise, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. The schedule allows for a fair amount of sightseeing on your own, and when you flag you can just sit and read/relax in the comfortable lounge or library GCT's emphasis on culture and history is what I liked most.
