Umbria recommendation - anyone stayed at Casa Vitiano?

We are travelling with our 4 and 6 year old in June 2007 and are looking for an apartment/villa for a week. We are leaning towards Umbria as we have been to Tuscany.

I would welcome any recommendations for accomodation in Umbria that would suit us. We need a pool (fenced if possible)and reasonable sized grounds for the children to just hang out in. We need to be able to take lots of short 'day trips' (for gelato).

Has anyone stayed at Casa Vitiano ? I have also read lots of positive feedback on Case Gialle . Does anyone know how the 2 compare ?

Any suggestions welcome

thanks

We have stayed with Mauro and Silvana at Le Case Gialle several times. You will not find more caring and generous people in all of Italy. The apartments are comfortable and clean and, yes, there is a pool. Bevagna, Trevi, Montefalco, Spello, Assisi and Perugia are all short drives away.

You can rent a lovely little apartment from Vacanze Ideale in Paciano for just a few hundred euro a week. There are two pools, a "spa" with jacuzzi and hot tub and exercise room, magnificent view out over the hills, and delightful and helpful owners.
