Uk visa

I would like to travel Europe 3 months before I enter UK but is there a way to get a working visa as I relise your have to apply for this visa 3 months before your arrival date and this has to be done from the country where u have citizenship. Or can u apply for your visa and put a earlier arrivals date but enter later?

WHICH type of Work visa are you intending to apply for?

Generally however you can enter & activate the UK between the dates on your visa - you could also nip over to the UK whilst in Europe to activate your visa or start in the UK and visit Europe afterwards

Working tier 5 visa, and we are landing in Europe and were hoping to not have to go to uk to start the visa but go there 3 months after the European journey. Just wondering if it is possible to arrive in uk at a later date instead of what u write on the application even tho you would lose 3 month. If that makes sense.

You can ask them to post-date the 'valid from' date of your visa by up to 3 months from the date of application. This won't give you three months to travel in continental Europe before arriving in UK, because the three months will include the time it takes to process your Tier 5 YMS visa and return your passport. So if you follow this advice, you may have some time to travel before getting to UK, but it depends entirely on how long it takes to get your Tier 5. Also sometimes, in spite of putting your proposed travel date to UK 3 months ahead, they still make your visa valid from the date of issue, so beware.

Since YMS is meant to combine working with holiday, you should continue your travels while you are on Tier 5 in UK.

You can arrive in UK past the 'valid from' date on your visa, but it just shortens your stay in UK, as 'valid from' and 'valid until' dates are fixed at 2 years.
