UK Spa Breaks

Hi - I am looking for some suggestions on spa breaks in England, Wales or Scotland. My husband and I enjoyed One Spa in the Sheraton in Edinburgh about 4 years ago so would be looking for something like that. I have looked at Seaham Hall in County Durham but it's a bit pricey. Does anyone have any experience of a reasonably low-key spa, with pool, sauna and steam room? Doesn't matter if it's attached to a hotel or not. The great thing about One Spa is that it had lots of different showers, saunas and steam rooms and the layout is brilliant.

Has anyone visited the new spa in Bath?

Thank you in advance

I'm going to Bath one day next week, will let you know what the new spa setup is like (we had planned to go on Saturday, but we both have colds).

Thank you BTilke. Bath would be ideal as it's been a while since I've been there and I have never been there with my husband. One Spa in Edinburgh had a pool overlooking the castle and I like the similar layout in Bath overlooking the Abbey.

Hope you get better soon!

I tried the harrogate sps a few years ago and they have upgraded since then. It is not in a hotel but a unique victorian spa close 1 mins walk to reasonable hotels. Pretty good

HArrogate is pretty with good restaurants and shops. But we are not talking a country hotel with pool here

I have a sudden work crush (last minute assignment) so I can't go to Bath tomorrow as planned, but will definitely be there next week.
