UK information

I live in the USA and have been reading and learning so much from many of you with knowledge about all things UK. Now, hopefully, I can ask a non-travel question, for just a second, please.
I am interested in the UK election and would love to find a site, for political, non-travel related UK matters.
Anyone know of a link to such a discussion group to learn more about politics, customs, etc of the UK? Thanks, and sorry about being off travel topic.

I'm not a UK local, but perhaps The Guardian UK website could set you in the right direction? Di

"The Guardian UK website"
Well that'll be a "balanced" view then!!!!!!

O.P. You didn't have to post this twice, once would've been more than enough.

Thanks to all, Interesting replies. And again, sorry to be off the travel topic. The "lounge" sounds like something I would like to access, but seems I can't. Any other, maybe non-Fodor, sites, that are open for this sort of messaging about all things UK??
I have been looking at some of the UK newspaper sites online, and reading opinions about what the election means to the UK and to the USA...Great diversity of opinion, as on this site!!

PQ: He knows his other thread -- he's been responding to it.

Right you are, janisj---I don't know how I started a second post...sorry, ....but you are right, I did respond to it, also. Again, incompetence on my part...as well as unfamiliarity with how this replying works.

Will be more careful in the future.

Any information on finding an online group to share and discuss things about the Uk , including politics, since the "lounge" whatever that is, is closed?

Deja vu all over again

<Right you are, janisj---I don't know how I started a second post>

Well janis turns out you were WRONG and moi right, for a change!

PQ: Uh - no.

(Not that it matters much but and I am treading very near 'last word-itis' here but . . . You posted a link directing the OP to his other thread . . . which he was well aware of. The two threads were started about 15 minutes apart and everyone including the OP were running w/ the second thread. It looks like the OP posted to this one just to be polite and acknowledge the couple of responses.)

Ok Janis you were right... maybe...
