Uh oh- I think I made a mistake! Help!

Hello!

I think I made a mistake in one of my bookings.

We needed a flight from Paris to Edinburgh. I booked through RyanAir and got a cheap flight but didn't realize it was in Beauvais and not Paris. OK...fine...however

The flight is at 930 am. If we take the first train out of Gare Du Nord at 6:05 we will arrive in Beauvais train station for 7:22. Then take a taxi to the airport and be at the airport for 8.

Will an hour and a half give us enough time so we don't miss our flight? Or am I going to need to cancel the flight (swallow the price) and search for a different flight??

If you are at the airport for 08:00, you will have lots of time for the flight. Beauvais is a small airport and won't take long to get through.

There's an airport bus which is timed for their flights.

For comparison, here's the shuttle bus info from Port Maillot. Not recommending it as I've never used it nor flown from Beauvais.

Check what time the Ryanair counter closes for check-in/baggage claim as they are VERY strict on this...

You should be fine making your flight...but another option is to spend the night before in Beauvais. Beautiful cathedral and some other sights and, aside from the airport, it's off the usual tourist radar.

The shuttle worked fine going from Beauvais to Paris. I would consider the shuttle rather than the train and taxi.

You need to take the Ryanair bus from Porte Maillot.

That is the problem with Ryanair. Their flights are cheap, but all the extra trouble and costs add up after a while. And I still fly with them, anyway.

I've learned to only book flights that are later in the day, to be absolutely certain I can get to the airport in time. Of course, this time they've changed the flight time for me by about two hours. After I'd already booked my onward train from the city I'm flying into. Sigh. Well. at least they changed it in the "right" direction. I can dump my luggage in a locker at the train station and go shopping (if I actually have any money left).

From what I can see, the airport bus would be a better alternative if you are worried about getting there in time. I don't know the exact date you will be travelling on, but on my own travel day (in July) I can see a bus that will arrive at the airport as early as 6.30.
