Uber/Lyft/ or Equivalent in Spain
 

Does anyone know if either Uber, Lyft, or equivalent ride app is available in Spain? I seem not to be able to get either of those two to confirm availability.

Where in Spain?
Advise is there are so many taxis on the streets you do not need an app to call one. UBER is a very limited service and has to use a licensed taxi anyway.

Why do you care if Uber or Lyft are available or not? Taxis exist.

Not sure, I always use very reliable and inexpensive taxis.
Seems to me Madrid has as many taxis as NY.

Just in Madrid and Barcelona, to my knowledge, and limited in action. For the rest of the country, taxi is the only option.

Used Uber several times in Barcelona and found it to be very nice - good Drivers. However, the above posters are correct . . indeed, Taxis in all of Spain were very reasonable and very reliable. My advise is NOT to worry about this question . . . use your app to see if cars are available if you have good wifi access (usually very easily acquired) and if you can use one of the services, then fine. If not, you are not losing much by having taxis as a backup plan.

UberX is back in Barcelona. Your Uber app should work, but there is now an app for taxis in Barcelona, as well as elsewhere in the country. One such app is 1Taxi! App 1Taxi!
