Advance tickets to museums and other sites
Is it ever possible to buy online entrance tickets to the Anne Frank House? The message I continuously get is "no tickets available". Am I doing something wrong? In addition, is it possible and advisable to get tickets ahead of time to other sites (museums)?
Thank you in advance!

I think the website for ticket sales is down. Try again on Monday, and in the meantime send them a message - http://www.annefrank.org/en/Sitewide/Contact/ to check if it is down.

Tickets are also available online for the Rijks Museum. Having advance tickets to that, Van Gogh, and Anne Frank'sHouse saved us a long queue, especially at Anne Frank House. Line was around the block and we walked right in. We also found the Dutch Resistence Museum quite fascinating.

Anne Frankhuis ticket sales is still down today. Hopefully they will be aware of the problem and are able to fix it soon.
If you aren't able to buy your tickets in advance because of the problem get to the museum early, or go later in the day. The museum is open until 7pm, or 9pm on Saturdays in March. That may be a good time to go if you haven't managed to get a ticket by then. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing, but aim to be there at least an hour before.
There may not be huge queues in any case in March, since it is before the main tourist season. But queueing in the rain, or a March wind is no fun.
