Two Weeks in Spain in Early April
 

We have been to Madrid and Galicia, and were thinking of Barlecona or Andulisa. We can fly into Malaga, Madrid or Barcelona.

Is there a question here? What advice are you looking for?

We were hoping for ideas on how to spend the time. What other areas of Spain did people enjoy visiting? For example, we always tell people that Santiago de Compestella is well worth the extra effort it took to get there.

Then I would recommend a trip to Barcelona and adding in Girona, or going to Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Ronda.<BR><BR>Can you give more particulars, like the number of days you will be away for, and the months, as that might change my mind and the opinions of the others that post.

Nancy,<BR>We did a similar trip last April and it was fantastic. I'd highly recommend Seville and also making at least a day trip to Alhambra. Also of interest are Nerja (the caves are amazing) and Ronda.<BR><BR>There are lots of great Spainish websites for information including okspain.org, spainlist.com, tourspain.es, and eurotrip.com.<BR><BR>Also, check out the guide books--Fodor's, Frommers, and Rick Steves are my favorites.<BR><BR>I'm sure you'll have a great trip.

I've only been to Ronda for a week and Peurto Banus for a day and hope to get back to Spain to see other parts. <BR><BR>Ronda was a nice old town with an ancient bridge. It's worth spending at least a few days. Great view from one of the sides of the town that is a cliff. The whole town is probably 2 miles long by 1 mile wide, so everything is in walking distance. <BR><BR>If you want a drink in the evening where you can take a break from espanol and speak english, stop at Huskies Bar, which is an American-owned, American style bar. No tapas, but there's a bunch of tapas bars on the same street, Calle Molino, and that area of town.<BR><BR>The drive from Ronda to Peurto Banus was slightly scary. The roads snake along the side of a mountain range. Don't look down.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the ride to Ronda was scary. My husband is still laughing at me about it (but I suffer from vertigo anyway.) Nancy, if you drive there, I suggest you do it in daylight. But it is a great place to visit and I plan to go back (but will take Amide this time.)

Wow. Many thanks for this. What is Amide? I also hate scary drives but would still like to go. ALSO, any suggestions from anyone regarding what to see first / number of days to spend where. Our flight is in and out of Malaga. THANKS AGAIN!

Barcelona is absolutely beautiful!!! You will really enjoy the city...easy metro. However, walking barcelona and following Fodors &quot;walking trips&quot; are the best way to see Barcelona.
