Two weeks in La Rochelle
So many trips (now more than 50) to l'Hexagone, each memorable in its own way - this one being the first after a major medical adventure earlier in the year. Although not entirely recovered from that experience, the offer from friends to share their apartment was one I could not pass up - there was a period in which it was uncertain if I would ever be able to travel. Rather than my usual bustling around from a convenient base, this was slower tourism for me, exploring this wonderful city in more depth, with a few leisurely side trips. It is in my usual format of captioned Google Photos albums: a main one for the city, and 3 much smaller ones for some day trips.

So glad you got to go. La Rochelle is looking especially lovely these days, and thanks for including some of the history.

I spent a week cycling around Ile de Re with three friends years back and it looks still not too developed.
