Two weeks in France and Spain - itinerary help!

I'm planning a 2 week Eurotrip to France and Spain in May. Last time I did a Eurotrip, I had 3 weeks and covered 11 countries over Central+Eastern Europe.

Spain and France seem like there is muchhh more to do so i'm spending two weeks there.

I would appreciate if anyone has a sample itinerary that I could use for my trip! Especially any food places and festivals I should check out during my time there!

Thank you!!

I would need to know your interests, the arrival and departure ports in Europe, and your mode of travel before I could give any specific advice other than recommending books like Michelin and Fodor's.

Two weeks for two whole countries is pretty shallow, but I guess after 3 weeks in 11 countries it seems pithy.

Don't know how anyone could plan an itinerary for you without knowing how you'll be transporting yourself from one place to another, what your interest are, what your budget is, and where you are arriving and departing from.

Not sure that anyone can be of much help without knowing a little of what you are looking for.

I could personally spend both weeks in Paris and I'd be in heaven. Or both weeks in Spain and be delighted as well.

Are you looking for history? culture? beaches? small towns? centuries old buildings? interesting people? learn/practice a language?

Details ... they matter.

This is partially related. My buddy and I are taking a 14-day trip to Spain and France. We will be flying into Valencia and flying out of Nice (or vice versa). We plan on just riding the coast all the way up by train. We're looking to spend at the absolute most $3,000 (plane ticket will be about $850), but we hope to spend about $2,500. Wondering if I would be able to get some advice on where to go (we have already been to Cannes and Nice, but spending some time there again).

Looking to party at night, relax on the beach, meet the people, and also get some smaller town feel
