Well-- all packed and killing time til I fly out tomorrow. Sitting here having a Pimm's (since there is no guarantee I'll have Pimm's weather anywhere along my route
)
Probably more like Single Malt or Gaelic Coffee weather when I hit Edinburgh late Tuesday afternoon.
Anyway -- jane1144 and unclegus, I'll be there @ 6:00 unless there are flight complications/I miss my connection at LHR. If things go pear shaped -- have a drink in my honor/honour. Will try really really hard to get some sleep on the flight so I'm not comatose
See you there . . .

Back in my room -hoping I'm not too jet lagged to sleep . . .
Had a really lovely GTG w/ jane1144, Mr. jane1144 and unclegus. I got there a little late and they were drinks ahead of me, but I caught up. Great company, really good beer, and haggis, neeps and tatties (autocorrect played havoc w/ that
) then unclegus and I went down the street for a wee dram in a neat pub w/ what seemed like hundreds of single malts.
I walked back down to New Town, and rode the Ferris wheel set up in Princes street before walking back to the hotel, to unpack and hopefully crash . . .

I am sitting out on my little flower filled terrace in the middle of York having a single malt from the pub next door, on my way down to London late tomorrow night.
See everyone Tuesday. May start my TR tonight after coming home from a boat trip through the city. . . . Or, maybe not w/ the pub just next door

Cheers janis!
elberko, safe travels.
PS - my 22yo son might possibly drop by The Coal Hole on his way home from work in the city, to get a hug from his mummy (and probably scrounge a beer!). He's in Amsterdam this weekend so he will hopefully have some travel-related conversation.

Welcome to London. I got in early this afternoon. Had to get off the Paddington train at Ealing Broadway because of the Notting Hill Carnival, but it was a better tube routing to Drury Lane, so no problem. Train was absolutely packed, though.

No janis I knew that you stay in high end hotels at times like the one at St Pancras before the Eurostar. I admit I know litle about expensive hotels in London - don't mean I don't know anything about London - do you know the Crystal Palace Caravan Harbour camp site - if you don't I could also say you know nudding about London!
Cheers! Don't get too pissed!
