Any suggestions for places to stay in Venice? (hopefully not too noisy with Venetian charm!)

I'd suggest doing a search on this forum for Venice hotels and looking at www.tripadvisor.com as well. Then if you come back and ask about specific hotels someone will likely answer. We choose our hotel in Venice based on recommendations on this forum and looking at reviews at tripadvisor.
