Seeksocean, I am not familiar with the vedettes night cruise per se. But, if you use the Batobus, you can ride it at night and I don't see any reason to buy another boat ride. Unless you want a dinner cruise, which many people say isn't worth the price because the food isn't as great as you can get at other restaurants.

We did Paris in two full days last year and I loved it so much I am going back again this year. We did a "taste trip" on the way home from Italy and fell in love with the city.

We arrived early in the morning and once settled at our hotel a block from the Eiffel Tower, we walked over to see the Tower. Then we hopped on one of the tour busses which is a bargain. You can ride for two days at around 20-25E each (I forget the exact price). This gave us a chance to get an overview of the city.

That night we did a Segway Tour which again allowed us to tour the city without having to walk all over the place. We were on ouor way home from a two week trip to Italy and did not have a lot of energy left so this was ideal. For info go to http://www.citysegwaytours.com/paris/. It was very reasonable at 70E per person and one of the best things we did on our whole trip!

The second day we went to see the big sights, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, and we did some shopping.

All in all, it was enough time to get an overview so we would know if we wanted to do an extended trip there which is, in fact, what we decided.

Have fun!

Has anyone used this Michael Orman besides 'Amart'? I know that a guide can really optimize a short stay. $100 for the day for two can be a good deal if the guide is good.
