Thanks. While I like good food I have always felt that the best pizzas stand up to gourmet food for pure enjoyment.

Next trip the Borghese for sure. I don't know why we haven't visited Rome before. Both of us like the country and we tend to spend a lot more time there than in the cities when we travel. As you can see from this trip, we favor more out the way places with less crowds. But Rome felt different. It was historical but still contemporary and alive. I can see appending a few days in Rome in future trips as we did this time.

blej - i liked your church [as opposed to a pub] crawl. we did something similar following the recommendations in Rick Steves for a tour of mosaic churches - like your DW, Santa Prasede was my favourite, made even more special by the choir who were rehearsing there.

I can't wait to go back and explore some more.
