two apartments in Paris looking for advice
Bonjour,
We are looking at the following two apartments: www.parisleftbankrental.com/gre_accueil.htm and http://www.parismarais.com/paris-mar...uite/index.htm Any advice or comments on the apartment, the area, the rental company. Thank you - we are going in February for 6 nights. |
Not familiar with the agencies. As you may have noted the walk up is to the 3rd floor at the left bank apartment and to the 2d in the Marais apartment. The Left Bank apartment is 220 square feet - small indeed! The area is upscale.
Did not see a street address for the Marais apartment, nor the size in square feet or square meters. The broad area is all right but not nearly as elegant. I would enquire about the size, if it's not stated on the site. |
I am not aware of the flats you mention. You might try www.vrbo.com where there are over 300listings for Paris. You might also check out www.wewillalwayshaveparis.net a truly lovely apartment that we have stayed at.

Not familiar with the agencies, perhaps others will comment. I have had good experiences with www.rentparis.com (20 rue Chapon is a dream) and www.parisvacationapartments.com

In sept. 2003, my husband and I stayed in an apt. we found on the rentparis.com site---listed as #10 at 5 rue Pecquay.---What a great experience! Having lived in Paris for 4 years 30 years ago, I felt just like a Parisian resident again! The location in the Marais is within easy walking distance to the Seine and the Latin Quarter and is just off neighborhood shopping streets---great for doing some quick marketing for a snack or a meal---or for spending some time in a cafe with the locals. The apartment was incredibly confortably furnished, as well---an amenity which I did not find in a lot of the apts. I viewed on line. I'm ready to go back (even though I did just return from a trip to Paris in September---I'm sure I was meant to be a Parisian!)
