Hi,
I need to buy my mother Twinings Queen Mary Loose tea (two cases) and have it shipped to Indiana....any thoughts on where they shop is in London? I am here on business and can't find the answer from the locals...fortnum mason does not carry Twinings. Thanks! STP |
From Yell.com - it may be what you are looking for. R Twining & Co.Ltd 216, Strand, London, WC2R 1AP Tel: 020 7353 3511 Classification: Tea & Coffee Specialist Shops |
The original Twinings Tea shop is opposite the Palaces of Justice. It's very tiny.
|
The Tea House might carry Twinings. Neal Street, Covent Garden.

Thank you very much! My mother will be pleased....

Your mother must be a tea junkie like we are. Every trip my mother or I take to the UK, we come back with as much Fortnum & Mason Breakfast tea as we can fit in our suitcases. :)

Try Selfridge or Harrods in the food halls.

I think you're looking in the wrong country.
According to Twinings UK web site, the product isn't available. According to its US site it is (Twinings have a US packing plant). Details of US stockists can be got through: http://www.twinings.com/en_us/contac...39&f=stock Incidentally, Fortnums are being less than honest if they claim not to stock Twinings. Both companies are ultimately owned by the same, Canadian, family. Fortnums teas were, when I was involved with part of this empire, simply Twinings under different wraps. |
Twinings are never first rate teas, Fortnums have a far superior selection with helpful staff to assist.

We found the best prices on Twining's at the local Sainsbury's store. We love Twining's English Breakfast, but I my all time favorite is Fortnum & Mason's peach tea. Twining's has a peach tea, but it can't compare to F&M's.
