TV SHOW WOULD LIKE YOUR INPUT
HI!!

This is such a great site!!! I'm doing research for a Canadian based television travel show. We are planning a trip to Prague at the beginning of July and I would like to know if anyone has any alternative suggestions for the show. Meaning we are going to cover the tourists attractions but very briefly. We want to concentrate on what makes Prague different from other cities in Europe. What should be the theme?? Is is art?? Music?? Architechture?? What are the clubs like? Are there any places that nobody talks about but is worth exploring??
DIFFERENT is what I'm looking for.
I hope someone could help!
Thanks!
Laura

I've been only once but was astounded by the number of classical music concerts that were going on constantly around the city. You literally have dozens of choices per day. It was impressive. - I travelled w/ a "friend" who is truly a solo world traveller (solo for a very good reason) and she said that of all the cities she's seen, Prague was the most beautiful.

check out the massive sterile commie dormatories on the top of the hill overlooking the castle. Its a so called "hostel" now. It has the typical cold unhuman architecture of the sixties and is filled with thousands of packpackers and down on their luck people from all over the world. Its the exact opposite of the charm of Prague. I spent three days there and couldn't take it any longer.
Keith

Laura, what's your fee for making this show? Since we're doing your research for you, we should get a fee also. I think $1000 per recommendation would be fair.
|
Laura, it would probably help if Prague were somewhere in your heading. Also do a search.

I would add to sandi that you should focus on the fact that classical concerts, both instrumental and operatic are very low priced when you compare both to other European cities and the depth of the talent you can enjoy in the "Golden City".

So lovely. Classical concerts? Get a grip. Why go to Praha when you can stay home?
