tuscany vs amalfi coast
we have 2 days available in italy on mar 25 and 26. out of these places which one would you choose. we will also be visiting rome and venice

Hi M,
Since you will be in Rome and Venice, your logical choice is 2 days in Florence. (You could visit Siena as well). |
I agree with Ira. The major city in Tuscany is Florence and I would highly recommend Florence for a stop.
|
The Amalfi Coast is really just a summer destination and I don't know how many hotels, restaurants etc will be open in March. There is more indoor stuff to do in Florence if the weather isn't very good.

I was in Tuscany the last 2 weeks of March last year, and it snowed a little one day. Like someone else said, the Amalfi coast will not be open as normal, because it is not near summer then. Florence is manageable in the last of March - go there.

Tuscany. It is between Venice and Rome, so it fits more neatly into your schedule. The Amalfi Coast will take more driving time. Also, we much preferred Tuscany to the AC.
