Tuscany - Palazzo del Capitano
 

Please let me know if you are familar with the lodging options I have been offered here.

Here is the choice:
870E/3nights/2 level suite w/2 baths
720E/3 nights/2 rooms in the annex

What appeals to me on their website is the gorgeous canopy beds --anyone know if the above rooms offer these? Looks like the 2 level suite would be the Aries/Pisces suite...is that the only 2 level w/2 Baths? Is the Annex as nice? What about the pool...it says it is a "short distance" away...

If I may suggest, you might get a better response if you specify which town/village you are thinking about - these names mean nothing to me - and the web-address would help too.

I believe Tina is looking for very specific advice from posters here who frequently recommend this hotel in San Q (SP?), Tuscany. Although I haven't stayed there myself (yet!), many Fodorites have and know very well where it is.

I don't think I have ever ead a negative opinion abut this hotel, and for good reason. We loved it. We were in the Leo room and our friends the Gemini. Both were great. We loved the garden and patio in back, the breakfast room and the hotel restaurant nearby. We never went to the pool. For what it is worth, this hotel has my highest recommendation.

I too love the hotel but cannot tell you the room configurations--perhaps the hotel may be your best source.

Well ,i still think i can be forgiven for asking what town it's in - and looking at the web-site I had already decided it was too expensive for me, so the room rates were a nice surprise, especially if we could book the suite that sleeps 4.

Personally, I've always found canopied beds a bit of a disappointment - they cut out a lot of the light so you need very good bed-side lighting to compensate if you're planning on doing any reading in bed.

but the hotel looks great - i'd go for it if i were you.
