Tuscany.net

I've been searching for places to stay in Florence, and Chianti. This tuscany.net seems to be a nice site. Has anyone used this, and are the reputable? Grazie

i have requested information and reserved hotels through this service and from what i understand they seem to function like the communications middleman...as i have booked two hotels w/o any incidents, i would say it has worked well for me...

the tuscany.net is a very well designed website with good hotel listings & info arranged by regions; since they do have an extensive listing it's easy to be overwhelmed...i limited my choices by picking the ones that look promising and see if they have been recommended by travel guides like karen brown, charming b&b's and so forth...

Biz, I booked in 2001 with them and I could write(via email) directly with each owner of the villas.
It is true that there's a lot of accomodations and info but that helped me to make my choice.
Have fun !

I smell some none-too-subtle self promotion going on here - they've been caught at it before. They really should get a mother-tongue english speaker to do it for them.

To spamman:
I don't know if you were writing about me ?
In any case, I'm only a Fodor's reader and I wanted to give my opinion on a matter I knew about.
I don't see what's wrong in asking and answering about a web site ! How many times did I read about x or y hotel or, read other people asking suggestions for hotels in specific cities...

I booked with them last summer-I ended up e-mailing directly with owner of the villa we rented. We met him and his son when we stayed at their place for 2 weeks. We did a lot of research and the same villa we rented was offered through InItaly.com at a much more expensive rate. I would deal with them again.

I hope you are not referring to my initial question spammman. There is more misrepresentation on the www than there is truth. There is nothing wrong with trying to verify a website or hotel, or whatever, with those that have experienced it firsthand. Isn't that what this website is for? We are busting our butts to pay for our own wedding and take a once in a lifetime trip. We are my no means well off financially. This is our honeymoon after all, and it would be a shame to have wasted it on a rip off. Are you by any chance the English language police? Please take your negativity elsewhere.
