Tuscany maps

Hello,
Any recommendations for a good map for driving around Tuscany ? We will have our cell phones - but just as a backup ....
Thanks

Depends to some extent on where in Tuscany, which is a huge region, but

The cellphone would be the backup for me.

I have a number of 'Touring Club Italiano' maps and think they're good ones. Here's one for Tuscany:

Michelin has #563 of all of central Italy that usually suffices.
It is a 400K scale.

The one on the Amazon link is 1/200,000 which I prefer, but I just love maps, the more detailed the better for me. But that's me. Look at both both and see which you prefer.

I agree with StCirq. It depends on where in Tuscany. I also use maps first and phone second. I need the "big picture" to figure out the route I want to take. Phones and other GPS devices tend to send you on the most direct/shortest route which usually isn't my preference.

Touring Club Italiano has great maps and a very good touring guide ("Authentic Tuscany") which is out of print but available used on Amazon.
