Tuscan Wine - the best dilemma in the world....

We are trying to find a driver to take us on a wine tour outside of Florence. We have looked around and found limited availability, but Tourscany is available. Does anyone have any feedback on them?

Also, they have two tours: Chianti, or Brunello. I have had Chianti and love it. Never had Brunello, although I've heard wonderufl things. Which would you choose? I'm sure the worst wine Tuscany produces will still be wonderful

Feedback?

Thanks!

Bethie,

If you like Chianti, you'll love Brunello! Chianti is mostly the Sangiovese grape, and Brunello is all Sangiovese. Be prepared - very expensive, but worth it. You will think you died and went to heaven.

Hi B,

Take a tour to one area and then go to an enoteca and drink the wines from the other area.

Enjoy your visit.

Dayle - I'm so excited to try Brunello. Thank you for the info.

Ira - Great idea. I know we'll be happy with either!

Hi Bethie - Brunello di Montalcino is in a league on its own IMO. Enjoy

Go to the big enoteca in Greve in Chianti and you can purchase a plastic debit card that lets you taste wines from all over Italy - some tastes can be several euro, but they are well worth it.

We had a tour through a company called Paula's Tuscan Tours, I believe it was - and we had a great tour guide - named Franco who was actually from another tour company, but Paula was booked and she set us up with him.
