Turned Away at Juventus Stadium
What conflict does Italy have at Juventus Stadium? We were there for the England at Italy match this week, coming from Canada, and were turned away.
Why?

did not you ask why? If not why not? How would anyone know the situation of why - did you have tickets - did you get a refund?
Need more info - did you look like an English soccer hooligan?
I'll be interested to know why too?
Cheers and that is awful if you had a valid ticket.

Many international football matches have extremely tight rules for entry.
The arrangements for non-Italians with tickets at the Italy-England friendly are at https://www.gov.uk/government/world-...taly-v-england . They are also subject to Juventus' standard admission procedures (http://www.juventus.com/juve/en/camp...lamento-stadio)
Tickets are not usually sold on the day.
It's not clear what happened to you: but the rules are framed to keep potential local and visiting troublemakers out: neither the club nor the two FAs have any interest in attracting third-country tourists.
I imagine - but without any details from you it's hard to be clear - that you simply weren't able to comply. In which case, whether you had tickets or not, no-one responsible is going to have much sympathy. The standard process at international football matches is that the onus is on intending visitors to find out the rules and follow them.

"did you look like an English soccer hooligan?"
Typical Yank racism. And ignorance.
Football hooligans - of any origin (and there are far more in the home end at a Lazio match than at any Liverpool or Arsenal fixture) look exactly the same as a middle manager at Credito Italiano or Barclays on a quiet night out.
That's why there are stringent rules. If all potential lethal rioters wore an "I'm a rioter" badge, none of this would be necessary.

racism?
How on earth is racism involved in this with all folks being assumedly Anglo-Saxon or at least white - english hooligans are inevitably whites (and English soccer fans at times are downright racists from their infamous stadiu-wide racial chants - like the famous one in England "I'd rather be a Paki than a Turk"
http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/...-another-thing
such blatant racists stadium-wide chants would be unheard of in the States and simply would not be tolerated - the next game would be played with no fans there - England has a big racial problem of its own and in no way should be reprimanding Yanks for what is endemic IMO in England too.
