According to the info on the Turkish Consulate website, if you arrive into Turkey without a visa, you may apply for one on arrival, by using the interactive kiosk at the airport. If your credit card is not going through on purchases now and you are not willing to address that and get an evisa now, chances are you might have the same issues on arrival, unless you can pay cash in local currency. You could probably google the info quicker than posting the question here.

It is Friday and they don't seem to issue visas on Friday. Try again tomorrow.
DH needed an e-visa for a recent short notice trip to Istanbul. Nothing worked on Friday but on Saturday it was fine.

Well in May I thought I could get it ahead of time OR at arrival but when I went to board my US flight that went from ATL to AMS to IST, Delta wanted to see the visa. I had purchased it online so I would advise you to try again and have it when you go to the departure airport. The website worked easily for me, hopefully when you try again, it will work for you.

Oops It isn't Friday is it? Sorry!
Try again and keep trying.
I believe you have to have an e-visa now, that was the information DH got before his trip.

Thank you for your help and all dialog is good!

Tried twice on e-visa up to their email with link for approval but it says it's timed out because no reply in an hour. It took over an hour for them to send me the email link at 8 am and i hit the approve button within 20 minutes but it said timed out.

Guess will have to try again later and reply to their email as soon as they send it.
We plan to be in Istanbul late September so still have time to make this work!

Got the e-visa's this Monday morning and credit card is working now.

Guess e-visa doesn't go through on the weekends perhaps.

Thanks again!
