Turkish Airlines and middle names

We're traveling to France this summer, stopping in Istanbul using Turkish Airlines. For some reason, our middle names are not in our reservations (2 out of 3 of us have our middle names on our passports). It looks like this is a common issue with TA.

When I called them, they recommended I use a trouble ticket. The response from that email was that I would need to buy new tickets, and they would then reimburse me my old ones. Any cost increase would be mine. Not ok with that.

I can't find that there would be any problem with no middle names on our tickets. Once I'm able to apply for the e-visa, I can go into our reservations on the TA website and amend our middle names (as well as add our passport numbers and Visa information). I can only do that when I have ALL the information, and can't do the e-visa for a couple more weeks.

I guess I'm looking for reassurance from the Fodor's crowd that no middle names on our tickets would be ok. That's what I'm reading so far, but I only trust this place!

Middle names are not used inEurope.
On my passport I have 3 first names.

I have never entered my second or third name not even initials.

I have taken hundreds of flights.
Does it answer your question ?

DH flew Turkish from Ams. It was booked by his employer, using only his first name. His passport has both his first and middle name in it. He got to Istanbul, and back without a problem.

While it doesn't help this time round, I got fed up with what name or names to use when and officially stopped using all but 1 first & 1 last name. Official, meaning, every piece of ID, passport, credit card, voter registration, bank accounts - you get the drift, 2 names only. To be legal it must just be consistent (in the US) with no intent to defraud. It's made all these moments, big & small, cease. I recommend it.

I wish you well, christycruz, and consider my solution for the future.

Had the same issue with Turkish Airlines. No one looked twice as long as your first and last name match.
