Turkey Trip Report

My film "What the Sultan Saw” highlights the history of Turkey & Constantinople/Istanbul, featuring the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires.

This tour of western and central Turkey stars Cappadocia (land of fairy chimneys), Ephesus (& other Roman cities), the Turkish Riviera, plus shopping for the magic flying carpet.

The video can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed connection.

This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I’m not selling anything.

To land in Istanbul, copy the address of my video site into your browser:

http://www.geocities.com/intrepidberkeleyexplorer/Video.html

The Intrepid Berkeley Explorer

Hi David,

I just want to say that your videos are so much fun! I found your site through somewhere else and watched "My Pub Runneth Over" about a month ago, and it got me so excited for my trip to England - I am leaving tomorrow and can't wait.

For others who read this thread, David has great videos on lots of places - you just watch on your PC (and no, I don't know him). Check it out - it's a great way to get excited about your destination and he seems to have been all over the world!

Thanks again, and happy travels,
Karen

David,

I watched about 10 minutes of your film when I had to call in my husband and then together we watched the entire 42:55 minutes. It was FANTASTIC! Boy, am I glad I have DSL. I marked your web page on my favorites as you have so many other reports, I am sure I will want to see later.

We are going to Turkey for 2 weeks, and it was so nice to 1) see the beautiful pictures, 2) hear you comments, 3) know how to pronounce things, 4) enjoy the music you put with it, and the frosting on the cake was to see your credits!

Out hats are off to you. Excellent job! We enjoyed it immensely. Today is my birthday and we are on our way to celebrate, but I can assure you that watching this film was a highlight!

Thanks,
Jean

I just watched the video on Israel and Jordan and enjoyed it thoroughly. Really well done. You have chosen interesting clips and music and I saw things which I hadn't seen on our trip. Really well done. I have a lot more to work through. I can't wait to see the others. Darn, I have errands to run.

Thanks for sharing.
