We were in Turkey September 2002 (on 9/11). All of the Turkish people were so friendly, flying the American Flag, their own flag at half-staff. What a wonderful country and place to visit. I strongly suggest you use a private tour guide, we used Nejat and could not have been more please. Helpful, knowledgeable, perfect English and no high pressure to buy a carpet. Contact him at:

Well I don’t see this as an advertisement; I see it as a piece of advice that I have taken note of for our visit later this year.

I don't spend time on this web site unless I am looking for suggestions to future travel plans. Personally it's nice to read specifics and I don't see the recommendation of a tour guide as an advertisement. Thank you very much.
