Turkey or Malta

Hi Everyone.

I am looking for a 10 - 14 day trip. I love being coastal side, so I am thinking of Malta or Turkey. I would love to try and do two countries in the two weeks... Looking for some help.

Option 1: Malta and possibly portugal

Option 2: Turkey and second country closeby undecided (Def want to do Instabul & Antalya)

I love being on the beach/outdoors/exploring some history and culture. I love food, fresh fish, fitness etc.

Thanks :)

Two weeks in Turkey. There is so much to see there you would not run out of things to do in 2 weeks. You should definitely include Capadoccia.

Malta has few sand beach; most are shingle.

What adrienne said. Malta is nice enough, but just for a few days. Both Portugal and Turkey deserve as much time as you can give them. If you insist on a second country you could do a day trip to a Greek island from Turkey...

Another vote for Turkey ... so much to explore! Malta is nice for a few days, but 10-14 days is a bit much. If you're thinking of Portugal, you could split between the Azores and Madeira, or a few days mainland, coupled with one of these islands. So many choices!

We spent three weeks in Turkey and we hope to go back some time.

Turkey and Greece is a classic Trip. Both countries have amazing beaches, fascinating archaeological sites, and charming cities and towns. The destination you can't miss in Turkey is Istanbul, capital to the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires, it's a city full of wonders and contrasts. My advice is to stay a week in Istanbul, and a week in the Greek islands. Antalya is an over touristy kitsch beach resort, skip it at all costs. Instead visit a Greek island, like Rhodes. Rhodes is the 4th largest Greek island and one of the most interesting. The medieval walled city of Rhodes is a UNESCO site, absolutely a must. Then the town of Lindos with its castle and ancient acropolis is one of the most charming towns in the Aegean. As an destination, Rhodes has exactly what you want, great cultural heritage, excellent local cuisine (the Greeks make the best fish in the world, always fresh, guarantee), sandy beaches and azure waters. You can do day trip to the fairy tale island of Symi from Rhodes. There is a flight between Istanbul and Rhodes.

With 2 weeks, Turkey would be a great choice! And even with 2 weeks, you will need to be selective, as there is WAY more to be seen there than can possibly fit into that time frame. Enjoy!
