Neckervd, thank you for your info. I looked up ruins in the Antalya area. Perge looks amazing! It reminds me of Pompeii . We are building in extra days in each city at hotels and will make a final decision later. That way we can adjust our plans either way. There seems to be many different times to fly from Antalya to Kayseri, so I think we could schedule a morning trip to Perge and then fly to Kayseri in the afternoon. My son and fiancée will be along on the trip and they would like to spend a few days in Kas. We will prob relax there. We also built 4 nights in Oludeniz beach after we leave Selcuk.

As much as I always dreamed of a balloon ride ( on my bucket list!), I have had 2 back surgeries and one neck surgery so I am thinking it might be a foolish thing to do. My husband will go too if I go; otherwise the “kids”can go. We already took 1 night away from Goreme. We might be able to build in an extra night in Istanbul so there is more recovery for my son and his transplant.
