Turkey - Ferry between Fethiye and Rhodes

Hello. We will be travelling in Turkey in June this year and are planning on spending 5 days on the island of Rhodes (Greece) at the end of June 2023.
Our plan is to take a ferry from Fethiye to Rhodes. From what I can see, there are 2 companies running daily ferries from Fethiye to Rhodes but I am struggling to find up to date reviews on these trips and also, if one company is better than the other in terms of reliability of departure times and actual sailing duration (I realise that the weather can affect this).
I would love to hear reports from either someone who has used the ferry recently or someone who perhaps lives in the area and makes the crossing regularly.
Also, would you prebook or just buy your ticket on the day.
Many thanks

Ferrybot.net is usually a reliable company. I don't know the Greek one.
I would just buy the ticket the day before departure.
Nobody makes this journey regularly. Most passengers are foreign tourists.

The size of the 2 boats is more or less the same (40x10m).
Ibiscus was built 1986 and takes 232 pax.
Seastar Makri was built 1995 amd takes 307 pax
Don't expect too much from this ferry ride, it can even get a bit unpleasant when er are big waves.
The only slow ferry connection goes from Kas via Kasetellorizo (boat change) to Rhodos (only twice weekly) and takes about 5-6 hrs.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 08:12 AM.
