Turkey bus trip from Kusadasi to Bursa
 

My wife and I are traveling from Greece to Turkey. We will arrive by ferry into Kusadasi on Friday morning, June 18th and then spend the day at Ephesus. We have a hotel booked in Selcuk on the night of June 18th. The next day we want to take a bus to Bursa to meet up with a Turkish friend and his family. I have looked into the companies Ulusoy, Kamil Koc, and Varan but the itineraries all seem to be overnight trips. My wife does not sleep well when traveling in a car, bus, train, etc. Ideally, I would like to get a good night's sleep in Selcuk and leave the next morning and arriving at my friend's house in the evening, June 19th. Traveling by day would also allow us to see more of the country. Does anyone know of buses that would make that trip during the day? Thanks!

You would need to take a bus or even an early train from selcuk to izmir and take an Izmir-Bursa bus. I am assuming that you will be geometrically increasing your chances of finding one by doing this, although the whole trip will take longer.

Have you considered renting a car and returning it in Bursa, or even at istanbul later? The drive fro srlcuk to Bursa is very easy, except for the few interchanges at the outskirts of Izmir where you have to be careful in watching the signs. Also. you will be leaving the motorway and driving on city streets for a short while before you can get on the Istanbul highway.
