Turkey--Antalya to Bodrum question

Here is our present itinerary:
Fly from US, arrive in Antalya -- 2 nights
Drive to Kas -- 1 night
Drive to Bodrum -- 1 night
Drive to Ephesus (overnight in Selcuk or Kusadasi)
Fly from Izmir to Istanbul -- 4 nights

Wondering if we should spend only one night in Antalya and instead spend two nights in either Kas or Bodrum.

Thank you for any advice.

I found Antalya to be a bit too developed for my tastes, while Kas was just the right size. In Kas, you can walk everywhere, Antalya..car. Antalya does have a very long beach. At our hotel in Kas, no beach, but a diving board and ladder into the ocean. There is a great beach just west of Kas though.

Why don't you dcide when you get to your hotel in Antalya?

In May, you probably can be fexible with your accommodation in antalya, Kas and Bodrum. Enjoy your frredom.

Thank you Michel and Otherchelebi for your advice.

Otherchelebi, the truth is I am a bit of a control freak, and it gives me comfort to know where I'm staying. I know Antalya is a big city and there is a lot to see. (Wish we had more time!) I just wondered if we should push on and spend one more night along the coast.

Also, I read in one of your posts that you are familiar with the Park Hyatt in Instanbul. With my Hyatt points we can stay two of our four nights free. My only concern is the hotel's location. Is it too inconvenient to the major sights? Could you also tell me how long it would take to walk to Taksim, and if there you could use various forms of transport or just take a cab?

As always, thank you for your expertise!

Antalya just has the museum and the old town within the old fortress which also encloses the small old port, worth a visit.

the other sigghts like Perge, aspendos, termessos, Duden waterfalls are outside the city. all of these are worth visiting but the locations you could visit from kas and Bodrum and on the route are also worth seeing. so read a bit and decide.

Park hyatt is at a very good upscale location for evening cafes, restaurants and also shopping. Vakko the number one large Turkish designer has a shop at Abdi ipekci street behind the Park Hyatt, so do some good restaurants.

You can take a cab to Kabatas to take the tram to the historic Sultanahmet, which will take you all of half an hour altogether.

A short walk up from the Park hyatt, there is a dolmus (shared taxi) stand at the beginning of the first street on your left on the main street, which will take you to taksim.
Or take a cab to taksim in just 10 minutes.

This is far a better hotel than any you can get around sultanahmet, maybe with the exception of the Four Seasons.
