We have been to all the places you are considering and I would split the time between Cappadocia and Istanbul. Cappadocia is one of the oddest landscapes we have ever encountered and Istanbul is a fascinating city with a great deal to see.

We highly recommend Turkish Air but Pegasus is an accpetable cheaper, Ryan Air typr, alternative.

Hi rajan and IMDonehere,

Thank you for your input. Right now the two slow travelers would prefer to split our time between Istanbul and Cappadocia. Speedy has agreed that the Turquoise Coast is too much, but would like to include Ephesus.

We intend to meet in January to nail down the itinerary (we tried this month, but got snow delayed).

If we go for three stops, perhaps 4 nights Istanbul, 4 nights Cappadocia, 1 night Ephesus, and 1 last night in Istanbul?

IMDonehere, I will check out Pegasus and will push again for a two stop trip. Thank you.

Rajan, your terrific detail will help with the hope I have for an extended stay in Cappadocia!

Thank you for your continued interest. Continued input very welcome!
