Turin/Torino - best airport?

Turin/Torino - best airport?
I know Turin has an airport but to get there it entails a ridiculous amount of connections. Anyone have any suggestions of other places to fly into and maybe get on a train or rent a car to get to Turin?

Where will you be coming from? you can fly into Malpensa, go the wrong way into the city by bus (1 hour) to Milano Centrale station and take a train that takes anywhere between 1:25 and 1:57 or thereabouts. (During the Olympics they had a train from the vicinity of the Malpensa airport to Turin, but no more).
But did you google the Turin airport? There are flights from Stuttgart, from Paris CDG, from Frankfurt - with a bit of luck you can fly into one of those airports and make a direct connection.

There are also flights to Turin from Munich, London Gatwick, and maybe others as well. So, for example, if you can fly Air France or a partner (such as Delta or COntinental) to Paris, or Lufthansa or a partner (such as United) to Frankfurt, you can connect. But I don't know where you're flying from and how many connections you need to get to Europe.

Having flown into Turin's airport and also done the Milan-bus to Cturinentrale station and then the train to Turin...do yourself a favor and save the anxiety by using the Turin airport direct from Paris,London, Frankfurt or Rome. After a long flight from the US,it really helps you get into your touring alot faster!

You can fly into both of Milan's airports, Malpensa or Linate and either rent a car, or take the bus to Milan Centrale and then train to Porto Nouva. Also Genoa airport is quite convenient,the train to Turin is about 90 minutes.

Duty free I know you wrote your comments re flights to Turin quite a long time ago but if you see this post, could you let me know what you know re flights (early evening to connect with international flight from Japan) between Rome and Turin? Thanks.
