Turin's Museo dell'Automobile reopens

After a 3 year restoration, one of the world's great 20th century museums, the Museo dell'Automobile in Turin, has reopened it's doors. Looks good on the outside and new website too.

We went one afternoon many years ago, and even my wife, not a motor-head, was impressed. Turin was like Detroit, and F.I.A.T. like GM swallowed up many smaller marques over the years, all represented in the museum. Not only the Italian classic designs but also others such as a Stanley Steamer in working condition and some great old Cadillacs. Of note was the Queen's Isotta limousine with mannequins in period costume.

Can't wait to get an excuse to go visit!
