Thank you for the market suggestion.

I visited Turin partly because of a TR here (stayed in Townhose 70, too). One day is a really short visit, especially if you want to relax! But lots of good cafes to relax in. Maybe you could add a day?

Thanks, when I say relax I should say, maybe re-group. After a long flight didn't want to travel far when arriving, and didn't want to stay in Milan again. I know one and half days is not a lot of time, but Turin was not even on the original Itinerary. I look at it now as a big plus to the vacation. Cannot add a day since all hotels and flights are booked.

We visited the market - OK but a lot of bric-a-brac and junk.
Highlights of our visit were the Egyptian museum and Eataly. But we had a car, so could stock up!
We had a nice meal and very nice wine at Signorvino - it's a restaurant and wine shop. Very casual.

I spent about three nights in Turin on a trip to Piemonte a while back. Here is my report. It is a beautiful city with great food and gorgeous architecture. And lots of chocolate!!

Turin is the Paris of Northern Italy.
Bologna is the Rome of Northern Italy.
Genoa is the most underrated out of the three.
Florence is Florence.

I think the Bolognesi would really object to being called the Rome of the north.
