Tunisia! Extreme on Many Levels

I've placed this report in two locations, but Europe is most likely where it belongs. As a biologist, we generally consider Tunisia and its rich flora and fauna to be palearctic in nature, and therefore more aligned with the European stuff. And the culture is clearly a fascinating mix. We spent two weeks this past summer exploring Tunisia's rich flora and fauna and culture! Some depressing conservation news as well....

Gorgeous photos! And they bring back memories of my long-ago trip there. No dung beetle photographs? That's one of my strongest memories!

Truly one of the best documented trip reports ever! Very well written and the photos simply amazing! Wouldn't want to encounter those Barbary pigs or anything in the bat cave! You definitely made the most of your 2 week adventure!

Amazing pictures!
I have to confess, I looked at other TR there, too. You have a wonderful site, with lots of info. Thanks for sharing.
