TuckH's post about the recent activity link

I just discovered this new feature at the top of the page.

It's just what I was looking for; it makes surfing so much easier.

Thank you Katie!

I can't bring myself to thank anyone for something I have to "just discover." Why doesn't this site have a User's Guide page?

Mischka Feb 26th, 2009 08:11 AM

Wow! That will help a bit I'm sure, but I still hate all the changes. Thanks for sharing Tuck.

Glad to know about this.

It would be nice to have the "tagged" info on the "today's activity" list.

It would also be nice to be able to bookmark "today's activity". But unfortunatly, the specific date is part of the URL - so if I bookmarked "today" I would always get the posts for 2008/02/26.

I'm flipping through more pages than I did when I used Fodors last month.

Hi Tuck - Join the club ;)

After several days 'discovery' ... I almost feel at home.

I must be dense - - is this a joke? "View all of today's activity" is your thread title and nothing more, right?

Or am I blind?

Curious minds want to know...

Best wishes,

Rex

Well, I like it too (one of my feedback requests), so there.

Holly_uncasdewar Feb 26th, 2009 09:05 AM

Did you click on the blue writing over on the left, at the very top, Rex?

rex Feb 26th, 2009 11:36 AM

I swear... it wasn't there, an hour ago - - but now, I am curious - - could it be that I was confused by THIS thread being at the top at that moment?

yk2004 Feb 26th, 2009 11:45 AM

rex- it's been there since yesterday. So yes, you must have been blinded by all the white glare and pink colors.

weindell Feb 26th, 2009 12:10 PM

"Did you click on the blue writing over on the left, at the very top, Rex?"

Oh. :">

weindell Feb 26th, 2009 12:11 PM

(That was supposed to be an "embarrassment" emoticon.)

sheila Feb 26th, 2009 01:06 PM

What a bunch of meanies you all are. I discovered it today too, and it's hugely useful; and I'm now using only about 2 pages a day, unlike in the old world when it would have been 4 to 6.

Underhill Feb 26th, 2009 01:18 PM

Alas, when I click on the Today's Activity line nothing happens.

yk2004 Feb 26th, 2009 01:31 PM

Underhill - are you clicking on the BLUE "View all
of today's activity » " that is on the TOP of the pink column on the left. It is under "Topics in Europe". It should take you to today's archive page.http://www.fodors.com/community/europe/2009/02/26/

If you click on the thread title of this, nothing happens.

ellenem Feb 26th, 2009 01:35 PM

This new feature is great. It solves the two click problem looking at anything beyond the Recent Activity column. Thanks KAtie and everyone.

iris1745 Feb 26th, 2009 01:35 PM

Hi underhill; I just clicked on 'todays activity and it worked fine. iris1745/dick
